14 Unique Valentine's Day Flower Design Ideas

Just when we thought the holidays were over, it’s time to focus on the next one: Valentine’s Day! I’m not a huge fan of cards and gifts, but give me a nice bouquet of flowers and I will love you forever!

When you go to a traditional florist, you more than likely will receive a basic arrangement that’s designed by companies such as FTD. It’s time to think outside the box and create exciting arrangements anyone would love to receive for Valentine’s Day.

To get you started I gathered 14 (yes, FOURTEEN!) of my favorite Valentine’s Day arrangements to share with you! To make it even better, I created mood boards and included a list of ingredients. Scroll through and enjoy!

Inspired by Purple

The grey’s and purples and whites of these arrangements bring such a unique spin to the Valentine’s Day holiday. When everything is covered in hearts and reds and pinks, offering a purple bouquet is the perfect alternative to the traditional offerings.

Inspired by Red

When I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of roses. Roses can be absolutely stunning but enhancing them with other flower varieties make them even better! The creativity of these arrangements is what makes the roses stand-out. Can you imagine being the one to receive these?

Inspired by Pink

Much like red, pink is a popular color around Valentine’s Day. What I love about these arrangements is the choice of accent flower colors as well as the filler greens. Some are more pastel than others while some are more intense. Pink has such a wide range of colors, arranging flowers for Valentine’s Day could be so unique!

Whatever you decide to design, I hope these favorites of mine will inspire you to stretch outside your comfort zone! Tag me on Instagram with #ValentineFlowerDesign if you create an inspired piece. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
